DISCLAIMER! You can't use this method if you're S-ON!
But being S-ON isn't the end of the world. xHausx has created a unique new, Kernel Installer method that more and more roms (like MeanROM ICS) are including, where you don't have to use dumlock, flash image gui, fastboot, or etc. You're not SCREWED if you're S-ON. It's just extra work and less convenient. I enjoy S-OFF, and people that have S-ON, WILL TELL YOU that they'd LOVE to trade their S-ON phone for one that can be (or is) S-OFF. No extra steps are required, you can update ANYTHING and EVERYTHING without having to find work arounds and extra methods. People even offer to PAY EXTRA to trade someone for their hboot 1.12 Evo 4G LTE or hboot 1.4 Evo 3D, because they HATE S-ON and all the extra headache that it comes with. BUT it's NOT the end of the world if you S-ON. The NEXT TIME you buy a HTC device, do NOT let ANYTHING update (ROM WISE), if you EVER want S-OFF. I decline ALL UPDATES the moment I bought my Evo 3D and Evo 4G LTE. I will NOT let HTC have FULL CONTROL of my device! I WILL be S-OFF!!
